Welcome to the Czechoslovakian Vlcak Club of America! The purebred Czechoslovakian Vlcak is considered a rare breed in the United States. Each year, more Vlcaks are imported to the United States, new litters are born in the United States - and the population is slowly starting to grow. The Czechoslovakian Vlcak is a fully recognized breed in the FCI (organization of national dog registries in Europe, and the majority of the world - equivalent and reciprocal to the AKC in the United States). As of 2001, the Czechoslovakian Vlcak was accepted for recording in the Foundation Stock Service (FSS) of the American Kennel Club (AKC). The breed is accepted for competition in companion events (Obedience, Agility, Rally and Tracking) in the AKC as of January 1, 2010. The Czechoslovakian Vlcak was designated into the Working Group (AKC) in 2011. The CVCA was formed in response to the need for education, responsible ownership, and ethical breeding practices within the breed. The CVCA also hopes to serve as a point of contact, fellowship, and resource for purebred Czechoslovakian Vlcak owners and breeders - who will determine the outcome for the breed in the United States. As with any breed, this breed is not suitable for some families. If you have questions about the breed, please contact the member on our Contact page who best fits your geographical location. Please enjoy your stay on our website! Be sure to check us out on Facebook also! The Czechoslovakian Vlcak Club of America |
